Engineering is Elementary Science Saturday

Engineering is Elementary units present fun, engaging engineering challenges that allow students to apply science knowledge in meaningful ways.

EiE Science Saturdays are 10:30am – 12:00pm and will include one activity from the Engineering is Elementary unit.

Cost: $10 for the first child in the family, $5 each additional child. Preregistration for class is required. Museum admission can be paid the day of event. Parents may stay.
Where: All sessions will be held in the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center  Pavilion
When: 10:30am -12:00pm
Suggested ages: 7-10 (classes may be too difficult for younger ages)

 

May 13, 2023 – Exploring Solar Energy
Students will conduct experiments to show how solar energy works. Students will also create an art project using shadows made by the sun and a bracelet using UAB beads that will change colors in the sun!
